Defining quality criteria for Food allergen immunotherapy practice in Europe, QC-FAITP

In the fast evolving scenario of food immunotherapy, a potential raise in the future demand for the treatment represents a challenge for clinicians and academic societies. A recent European study identified great disparity in whom food AIT is being offered to and significant heterogeneity in how the treatment is being delivered. The primary objective of this TF is to produce a clear document with recommendations on the minimum requirements proposed by EAACI to be in place by any allergy department providing food AIT. A team composed by methodologists, patient representatives, regulatory bodies representatives and expert clinicians in food AIT will run a systematic review of the literature to capture how food AIT is being delivered. On a second stage, the group will organize the information into domains and items, that will ultimately be validated in a larger Delphi consultation.
