Health care provider and patient perceptions regarding Covid-19 vaccines
Since March 2020 the SARS-Cov2 pandemic has changed our world. Besides the enormous health care challenge providing medical care to critically ill patients suffering from covid-19, the pandemic associated lock-down of social and economic life has left our world with an urgent need for adequate treatment and disease prevention strategies, putting development of efficient and safe vaccines in the center of public health interest. In parallel with the increased expectation and hope that comes with this potential treatment movements and concerns also grew. With the duration of the vaccination campaigns, it becomes evident that the number of vaccinated persons is not increasing as much as needed to successfully to defeat the ongoing pandemic and to prevent mutation of the virus. It will be of outstanding importance for a successful COVID19 vaccination campaign to understand barriers, concerns and incentives that come with this treatment option and to monitor the change of perception regarding different COVID19 vaccines over time.
