The Molecular Allergology User’s Guide (MAUG) 2.0 was published as an e-book in July 2022 and as a hardcover book in June 2023. It is the most comprehensive and most recent book on Molecular Allergology. Its size and volume, however, are not ideal for daily clinical practice. Therefore, a new EAACI Task Force (TF) was initiated to provide essential information and clinical algorithms in a condensed format.

The new TF, in collaboration with MAUG 2.0 authors , created a pocket guide version of MAUG 2.0, compiling key information in a practical and easy-to-use format. The pocket guide contains all B chapters (Clinical Practice) and C chapters (Cross-reactive molecules) of MAUG 2.0 and key information, tips for molecular diagnosis, tables of available allergens, and diagnostic algorithms.

The pocket guide however is not meant to be a substitute for the book, and readers are invited to read the corresponding chapters in MAUG 2.0 for comprehensive background information.  We hope readers will enjoy the pocket edition of MAUG 2.0 and find it helpful in their daily clinical practice.
