EUropean RegIstry of food Protein-InduceD Enterocolitis Syndrome (EURIPIDES)

Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis (FPIES) is a non-IgE mediated food allergy characterized by delayed gastrointestinal signs and symptoms. It is a heterogeneous disorder with a wide spectrum of clinical phenotypes. The typical clinical manifestations and the offending triggers vary depending on the age of the onset of the disease and the geographic area. The frequency of FPIES, clinical manifestations and causative agents of European patients are probably different to those published in other locations. This Task Force aims to establish a registry of patients, adults and children, with FPIES across Europe. Localized patient registries may help us to gain a better knowledge of the characteristics of FPIES in Europe and, consequently, improve the diagnosis and management of these patients.
