Roadmap for the management of EoE
Roadmap for the management of EoE
Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, progressive, immune mediated disorder of the esophagus. Its diagnosis requires gastroenterologists and pathologists but management and follow up require a more broad collaboration, allergists having a main role (1). Guidelines on EoE offer a better management of the disease, develop non-invasive methods for diagnosis and follow up and promote tageted personilized treatment by providing standardized easy-to-follow approach to clinicians. However, few guidelines exist on EoE, addressing a limited number of issues (2, 3).Roadmap to EoE management. EAACI Task Force will provide practical guidelines to be used globally. They will be able to be used as an educational tool for younger colleagues and the ones that have never treated EoE before. In addition, unmet needs for EoE will be accessed. The “Roadmap for the management of EoE” TF is planned to be performed with the parteciapation of members of EoE WG, Food Allergy IG and Immune modulation IG, but also with EAACI members who are considered opinion leaders on the field of EoE.References 1.
